4th Annual
Day of 1,000 Event
"The Lifestraw Challenge!"
This is
a Global Event! Volunteer with
Community Without Walls (CWW)
and help change the world.

In many parts
of the world kids and their families do not have clean
water to drink. 5 million people die each year of
water-related diseases, 1.2 million are children.
Lifestraws
are water filtration devices that filter dirty water,
remove impurities, and make it drinkable. Drinking water
through a Lifestraw helps keep kids and their families
safe from water-related diseases.

There are two ways you can engage in the Lifestraw
Challenge:
BE INVOLVED THROUGH A ONE-DAY COMMITMENT -- Join
us and bring your school or other group to help collect
and sort recyclable containers at the Pasadena Earth
Day Festival, Saturday April 25. We then turn them in
for cash and buy 1,000,000 Lifestraws, distribute them world-wide
and save one million lives! You can also present
your recycling program model or help us deliver our presentation
at the Pasadena Earth Day Festival on April 25.

BE
INVOLVED IN A LONG-TERM EFFORT --
there are several ways you can do this:
- Recycle
-- Start a recycling club or business on your campus
and contribute to the "Lifestraw Challenge"
year-round. We can show you how!
-
Donate
-- Raise or donate funds to help purchase 50, 100
or 1,000 Lifestraws. A Lifestraw saves a life for
a year. $500.00 buys up to 100 Lifestraws!
-
Do
a Presentation --Present your recycling program
model or help us deliver our presentation at different
venues
-
Teachers
-- use environmental service projects to help teach
academics using "Service Learning" methods.
We have training, tools and resources for you.
